Today I’d like to talk to you about a little campaign going on at the moment called G*A*T*N*O which literally means get Ashes to number one. Ashes is the new single from the No1 album Out Of Nothing by Embrace and next Monday on its release we’ll be going out in Leeds to execute some madness when myself and several others will be stalking the streets dressed in GATNO T-shirts, sandwich boards and god knows what else to hand out flyers, accost people and make them listen to Ashes on our portable audio devices.
Be warned if necessary we will also use reasonable force to get them into the record stores to buy the damn thing. It will take place over the afternoon and night with busking and pub visits involved and will be filmed for the bands
If you're in the vicinity and feel like helping out please do so. We need help, more voices and people with mini-discs etc and if nothing else it will be a laugh.
You can email me through this site or just come and find us in Leeds on the day, we'll be the laughing stock walking round the town!!!!
