| About The Site: Garbled Communications started off in 1999 as an online magazine covering tv, film and music, along with out own Onion style humour section, Wish It Were True News. Over the years it grew and grew (there's hundreds of often huge pages across the site), and over twenty people contributed to it. A hiatus in 2006 was only meant to last a short while, but unfortunately went on for much longer than intended. But hey, now we're back, and quite possibly better than ever! |

It's been over two years since our last update, due to a fair few rather tedious reasons that you really don't need to know about, but now we're back in an all new blog format. For newcomers, we're an online magazine that covers tv, film, music and humour, initially we covered the less mainstream and more alternative culture, but along the way we expanded and began featuring more standard material. I even wrote a glowing review of The OC once. Yeah, I'm not sure what came over me either. Anyway, we now plan to go back to the original concept of the site and mostly centre around the best (and worst) of alternative and independent tv, film and music, though if a big Hollywood film or album release is particularly deserving of praise (or criticism) we may well cover it. We'll still be inflicting various humourous bits and pieces upon you too, as well as covering more of the stand up comedy scene as it's really grown over the last few years and definitely deserves more coverage than it's getting. And finally we'll be bringing you the more eclectic and unusual youtube clips out there - we promise there won't be any footage of cute cats being sick on babies, there's plenty of sites out there for that, but if we find rare footage from tv shows and films, or clips of stand up's up that are worth watching, we'll bring them to your attention. For the old site, where there's hundreds of tv, film and music reviews, along with a great selection of articles and interviews, please click here. But from now on, all new material will appear in our new home at http://garbledcommunications.blogspot.com/ Oh, and if you fancy writing for us, we'd love to hear from you, please contact Alex Finch at editor@garbledonline.net. Cheers! |
